Matchday is a team-operations platform for sports organizations — clubs, academies and federations — covering rosters, calendars, travel and logistics, documents and policies, and wellness forms. The iPhone app is the companion for players and staff.
Getting in touch
Email support@matchday.dev. We reply within two business days, usually sooner. It helps to include your organization’s name, the email address you sign in with, and what you were doing when the problem happened.
How accounts work
Matchday accounts are created by your organization, not by you. There is no public sign-up and no way to create an account from inside the app: a club administrator adds you to a team and sends you an invitation, and that invitation is what turns into your login.
This is deliberate. Rosters contain other people’s personal data — teammates, minors, medical information — so access is granted by the organization that is responsible for it, rather than by self-registration.
I can’t sign in
- You have never signed in before. You need an invitation from your club, academy or federation. Ask the person who manages your team to send one; they can do it from the roster in a few seconds. We cannot create an account for you, because only your organization can decide who belongs on its teams.
- You have an account but the app rejects you. Make sure you are signing in with the same email address the organization used to invite you. Signing in with Google requires that the Google account uses that same address.
- You forgot your password. Use the password-reset link on the sign-in screen, or ask your organization’s administrator to send a fresh invitation.
- Sign-in opens Safari and comes back to the app. That is expected. Authentication happens in the system browser and hands you back to the app when it finishes.
Notifications
The app sends notifications only about your own team: a form that needs filling, a policy that needs acknowledging, a newly published schedule, or a change to a session you are booked into. We do not send marketing notifications.
If notifications stopped arriving, check that they are enabled for Matchday in iOS Settings, and that you are still signed in — signing out removes the device from the delivery list, and signing back in restores it.
Deleting your account
You can start a deletion request from inside the app, under Account → Delete my account. That opens an email addressed to support@matchday.dev with the details we need already filled in. You can also email that address directly — please write from the address you sign in with, so we can identify the account.
What happens next:
- Because your account belongs to an organization, and the roster, document and form data it holds is the organization’s, we confirm the request with them before acting.
- Your organization may be required to keep certain records — safeguarding or financial records, for example — for a period set by law or by its governing body. Those are retained even after your access ends.
- We respond within 30 days. Deleting your account ends your access to Matchday.
Full detail is in section 9 of the Privacy Policy.
Privacy and your data
The Privacy Policy explains what is collected and why. In short: the app contains no advertising or analytics SDKs, does not track you across other apps or websites, and asks for one operating-system permission — notifications. Requests to access, correct or export your data go to hello@matchday.dev, and we route them to your organization where the data belongs to them.
Reporting a security issue
Email hello@matchday.dev with the details. Security reports are treated with priority. Please do not test against another organization’s data.
