Terms of Service
Last updated: August 8, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Matchday platform, websites and applications (the “Service”), operated by Matchday (“we”, “us”). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a club, academy, federation or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization, and “you” includes that organization.
1. The Service
Matchday is a team-operations platform for sports organizations: rosters, calendars and scheduling, travel and logistics, documents and policies, forms and wellness questionnaires, reporting, and companion applications for staff and players. Features may change, improve or be discontinued over time.
2. Accounts and access
- Accounts are provisioned by an organization’s administrators or by us. You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure.
- You must provide accurate information and use the Service only for legitimate team-operations purposes.
- We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms, threatens the security or integrity of the Service, or is required by law.
3. Your data
- You own your data. Rosters, schedules, documents, form responses and other content submitted to the Service (“Customer Data”) remain yours. You grant us the rights needed to host, process, transmit, display and back up Customer Data solely to provide and support the Service.
- You are responsible for the lawfulness of Customer Data you submit, including having the right to process the personal data of players, staff and guardians you add to the platform, and providing any notices or obtaining any consents required from them.
- Where players are minors, the organization is responsible for ensuring an appropriate legal basis (such as guardian consent) exists for their data being managed on the platform.
- Upon written request after account closure, we will delete Customer Data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for backup integrity (backups roll off on a fixed schedule).
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) probe, breach or circumvent security or access controls; (b) access data of another organization or user without authorization; (c) reverse engineer, scrape at scale, resell or sublicense the Service; (d) upload malicious code or unlawful content; (e) use the Service to violate applicable law, including data-protection and anti-doping regulations; or (f) misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your internal team operations. No rights are granted except as expressly set out here. Feedback you provide may be used to improve the Service without obligation to you.
6. Third-party services
The Service integrates third-party services (for example sign-in with Google, cloud hosting, file storage, email delivery, and optional AI providers). Their availability is subject to those providers’ own terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services.
7. Availability and support
We work to keep the Service available and secure, but the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Support is provided by email at support@matchday.dev; see the Support page for what to include and typical response times.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data or goodwill; and (b) our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to liability, or, where the Service was provided free of charge, one hundred (100) US dollars. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from Customer Data or your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or applicable law.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. Organization agreements may be terminated per their own terms; we may terminate or suspend the Service for material breach that is not cured within a reasonable period after notice, or immediately where required for security or by law. Sections 3 (data deletion), 5, 8, 9 and 11 survive termination.
11. General
- Changes. We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced on this page with an updated date, and continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
- Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator’s place of establishment, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts there, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any signed organization agreement, are the entire agreement. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. A signed organization agreement prevails over these Terms where they conflict.
12. Apple App Store
Where you obtained the Matchday app from the Apple App Store, these Terms are between you and us only — Apple is not a party to them. Apple has no obligation to provide any support or maintenance for the app; support requests go to support@matchday.dev (see Support). Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim you or a third party may have relating to the app, and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with the right to enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
